(Strategic Ambiguity under the New US President)
Strategic Ambiguity under the New US President was a public seminar held at the Global Taiwan Institute on November 9, the day after the United States elected Donald Trump as its next President and Commander-in-Chief. Experts on US-Taiwan policy discussed the context and origins, parameters, history, and future prospects of strategic ambiguity in U.S. policy towards Taiwan. The panel featured Joseph A. Bosco, Christopher J. Griffin, and Elbridge Colby, all former US government officials or staffers, who have been intimately involved in Taiwan and Asia policymaking, as well as being leading thinkers on cross-Strait issues. The event was moderated by GTI Executive Director Russell Hsiao.
