Tracy Weener is a Summer 2025 intern at the Global Taiwan Institute. Tracy was the North American Taiwan Studies Association’s 2024 Undergraduate Research Paper Competition Winner. She is a rising senior at Dartmouth College, where she is pursuing a double major in Quantitative Social Science with a concentration in Public Policy and Computer Science. As a Hanlon Scholar, her research applies computational social science methods to investigate US-Taiwan relations from the perspectives of public opinion and social media. She has presented findings at several conferences, including the 2024 American Political Science Association Annual Meeting as part of the Conference Group on Taiwan Studies and the 2025 National Collegiate Research Conference. She also reactivated the Dartmouth Taiwanese Association in Spring 2025. Passionate about the future of Taiwan studies, she is honored to join the Global Taiwan Institute as an intern this summer.
