Wei-Ting Yen
Dr. Wei-Ting Yen is an assistant professor in the Government Department at Franklin and Marshall College. Yen studies political economy issues and welfare state development in Asia. Her current research looks at the political impacts of economic insecurity on welfare state development. She also has several projects examining the politics of the COVID-19 pandemic from a comparative perspective. Yen’s works have appeared in Governance, Public Opinion Quarterly, Journal of East Asian Studies, Social Science Quarterly, and more. She holds a PhD in political science from The Ohio State University. Her GTI project will focus on Taiwan’s COVID-19 pandemic governance.
