Eric Jung was a summer 2023 intern at the Global Taiwan Institute. He is an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia, majoring in foreign affairs and minoring in East Asian studies and Mandarin. Previously, Eric has participated in multiple US Department of State-sponsored scholarship programs, which include the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) and the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS). During his participation, he studied Mandarin and culture in Chengdu, China, and Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
