Willian Hung

Willian Wei Hung (Ang Uí) is a Spring 2024 intern at the Global Taiwan Institute. A Taiwanese native, he recently graduated from the University of California with a degree in political science, focusing on public law and international relations. He combines his academic foundation with practical insights gained from his internship at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC, and as a documentation specialist at the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office (TECO) in Los Angeles. Passionate about contributing to the global awareness of Taiwan, Willian, who is also a photographer, sees the Global Taiwan Institute as a meaningful platform to amplify Taiwan’s presence on the global stage. Fluent in Taiwanese, English, and Mandarin, he eagerly looks forward to leveraging his diverse skills and experiences to make a positive impact during his internship.
