Jessica is a Research Associate at the Global Taiwan Institute. She holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, with certificates in Asian Studies and Latin American Studies. Previously, Jessica worked at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Argentina, where she served as secretary to the Ambassador and political advisor. Her prior professional experience includes providing legal counseling to Argentine women facing gender-based violence and teaching Mandarin at a Taiwanese school in Argentina. Jessica also holds bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and Political Science, as well as an MBA. She is a lawyer and a certified English-Spanish translator. Her research interests include political and economic relations between Taiwan and Latin America and the Caribbean, with a particular focus on infrastructure development and financing, as well as cross-Strait relations.
